Finding employment as a Tool & Die apprentice right out of high school has provided Don with years of experience in manufacturing. From precision plastic injection moldmaking, diebuilding, precision machining and machine building to middle management and quality control.
His last job was building machines for the automotive industry and he is currently working at Markin Tubing in Pearl Creek, NY.
An avid outdoors person Don has climbed some of the high peaks in the Adirondacks, backpacked on the finger lakes trail, and been a raft Guide for ACO since 1999. This is when he first purchased a Norse paddle. Understanding the end use consumer is key in producing a viable product.
Guiding rafts and teaching kayaking are passions for Don, making paddles just fits right in!
